    ABOUT CAMILA

    Camila Provenzalle is a Italian-Brazilian lyric soprano, recognized for her expressive stage presence, refined musicality, and a voice combining lyric clarity, coloratura agility, and emerging spinto qualities.

    She graduated in Lyric Singing from the University of São Paulo and continued her artistic development at the Opera Studio and Opera Academy of Theatro São Pedro, as well as at the Plácido Domingo Opera Studio in Valencia, Spain. Her international path began with distinction at the Neue Stimmen competition in Germany, where she was awarded the Förderpreis, and continued with prize recognition at major international competitions, including the Paris Opera Competition (Third Prize), the Belvedere Competition (engagement awards for operatic roles), the Maria Callas Competition (First Prize), Operalia (full scholarship to the Plácido Domingo Opera Studio in Valencia), and the BBC Cardiff Singer of the World, where she was a finalist.

    A recipient of a scholarship from the Plácido Domingo Foundation, she subsequently toured 2018/2019 internationally alongside Plácido Domingo and conductor Eugene Kohn, performing in opera concerts worldwide.

    Recent highlights include her debut as Mathilde in Rossini’s Guillaume Tell at the Linz Opera (Austria, 2025), as well as performances of Donna Anna at the Theatro Municipal de São Paulo and Micaëla in Bizet’s Carmen with Opera North. Alongside her operatic work, she is also active in the concert repertoire, with performances of Strauss’s Vier letzte Lieder and Mahler’s Rückert-Lieder, as well as appearances with the São Paulo Symphony Orchestra (OSESP), including the opening of the 2026 season under conductor Thierry Fischer with Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony. She has also recently performed Bach’s Cantata No. 51 for soprano and orchestra and De Falla‘s „Siete Canciones populares Españolas“.

    Her professional engagements have brought her to leading venues and festivals such as Opéra de Toulon, Garsington Opera Festival, Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, Bregenzer Festspiele, Opera North, Gran Teatre del Liceu, Alte Oper Frankfurt, Philharmonie de Paris, Barbican Centre London, Kölner Philharmonie, Philharmonie Luxembourg, Auditorio Nacional de Madrid, Carnegie Hall and Opernhaus Zürich.

    Camila is the soprano soloist of the international Amazônia Concert, conceived by Sebastião Salgado and Simone Menezes, with performances across major venues in Europe and South America (10 countries with 15 different Orchestras) and a recording of Villa-Lobos’s Floresta do Amazonas released by Alpha Classics (2023).

    Committed to continuous artistic development, she has participated in masterclasses with Cheryl Studer, Francisco Araiza, Mariella Devia, and more recently Chris Merritt and Ernesto Palacio.

    Upcoming engagements include concerts in the program of the London Symphony Orchestra (May 2026), the Dresdner Philharmonie and Gulbenkian Orchestra Lisbon (June 2026), Marguerite in Gounod’s Faust at the State Opera – Stara Zagora (Bulgaria), and her debut in Verdi’s Requiem.

    In 2025, she recorded eight opera arias, from Mozart to Wagner, with the Moravian Philharmonic Orchestra. The recording will be released soon.
